2 Corinthians 5:7New King James Version (NKJV)7 For we walk by faith, not by sight.
Today as I watch Gracelyn navigate the world. Many emotions surfaced. First let me give you a little back ground on her. She has Schizencephaly, epilepsy, Cerbal Palsey, narrowed optic nerve in Right Eye and ONH (Optic nerve hypoplasia) in her left eye. We know that the vision in her left eye is extremely bad and ok in the right. She had surgery for her right eye muscle a week and half ago.
Surgery went while. We have some emproved results in her tempement and focus of her eyes. The doctor has asked us to patch the I for several hours a day. Today I managed to get 45 minute of patching. My heartbroke the whole time. There where several times she was not able to see things until she was right on the object. She eat with great difficulty. She could not keep her balance. My heart broke and questions rushed into my head.
What if she lost all vision?
Should we make an appointment with the eye specialist in LA? How will we pay to get to LA?
Will she need a seeing eye dog someday?
What is our next step in helping her?
