We finished 2012 off Blessed. I think back to what The Christmas 2011 brought. It set us on a path that would change many things. For months leading up to Christmas we had been wondering when Gracelyn would roll over or even sit up. As the Holidays came upon us we prepared for our First Christmas as a Family of Four. The joy of the season was over shadowing our concerns. We felt blessed beyond words.
2012 brought new beginnings and hurdles that would prove to be worth it all. January finished off with the MRI results that would Provide insight into Gracelyns lack of development. She was diagnoised with Schizencephaly. Over the weeks and months are focus became getting her the help to thrive. Will living in Texas we started running into road blocks to get the extra help to give her the best care. So Joshua and I made the decision to pack up and move to Colorado. Moving to Colorado did not come without it’s own challenges. We tried to sale our home, only to rent it out. One thing that we have learned is that the most important thing is to surround our selves with those that up left and not tear down.
2012 has brought a little girl that babbles, is army crawling, pulling up to her knees and using a Pacer Grait Trainer to learn to walk. Can’t wait to see what 2013 has in store.
