Many times in life we walk through the journey GOD has called us to. The journey is sometimes easy with no bumps along the road and other times we walk though valleys to complete his call on our lives. One might say that his call is not worth the heartache and pain. I say the heartache and pain brings a more beautiful result.
With the end of March coming to a close and no word of a baby, we felt God closing of door. Not understanding why. As the door closed, one opened with greater blessing.
April 4th was a day of many downs and ups. This day we found out the first birth-mom kept her baby. As I opened our email that afternoon, I found out that we got a matching grant. Within seconds of emailing our adoption consultant she sent us information on a situation with a different agency. That bring us to the News.
The news of a conference call with a birth mom came on March 15th. Joshua and I got the chance to speak with her on March 16th. The birth mom came to the concussion that she wanted to choose us to give her baby a good home. That makes us due May 2nd, 2011.
We need everyone to team with us and HandinHand to complete our funding. With that funding it will make it possible to for us to complete bringing Baby Lee home. The information on the grant is below.
We have been awarded a dollar for dollar matching grant up to $6,000. The specific amount received will depend on the amount of funds donated by our friends and family on our behalf. The grant amount includes both the funds raised and the funds matched by HANDinHAND Christian Adoption, Inc. If we raise $3,000 from our Family and friends, HANDinHAND will match those funds for a total grant of $6,000. ALL DONATIONS ARE TAX-DEDUCTIBLE.
